UX Design Intern - Indiana University School of Medicine
Medical App to enhance treatment of teen substance abuse and mental illness
The Adams Lab team works closely with partners across the United States—from various schools of Indiana University to the Medical University of South Carolina. Members also work closely with primary-care providers, area schools, and other local and state agencies to deliver evidence-based programs to promote emotional well-being and reduce risk for substance use problems in children and teens.
Role:
UX designer and graphic designer for the app.
Designed app screens and managed visual content for app building.
Research Assistant - School of Informatics and Computing, IUPUI
Voice Assistant for Older Adults
Aqueasha Martin-Hammond explores the use of computers as tools that can change and motivate human behavior, and how technology can assist older adults and support aging in place. An assistant professor at SOIC, her research focuses on human-computer interaction, examining health and accessibility challenges, and ways to design and develop technology that can help.
Role:
Currently researching on Intelligent assistants (IAs) to provide older adults with personalized health assistance at home, such as to reduce social isolation or find health information.
